BREAKING NEWS : Andy Reid’s Offseason Move is Turning Heads

Chiefs' $30M Offseason Move is Turning Heads - Athlon Sports

The Kansas City Chiefs are a little over a month removed from a 40-22 Super Bowl LIX loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

On Monday, the NFL free agency negotiation window opened, and the Chiefs were active on that front as well.

The Chiefs made some big moves, including signing former San Francisco 49ers OL Jaylon Moore although wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins signed with the Baltimore Ravens.

Meanwhile, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid was spotted at a college basketball game. With free agency running rampant, Reid was seen wearing a BYU pullover during the Cougars’ Big 12 Conference tournament game between BYU and Iowa State.

Reid played college football at BYU and graduated from the school in 1981, so it isn’t surprising to see him represent his alma mater.

The Big 12 Conference tournament is also at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City.

Still, Reid’s offseason sighting sparked plenty of reactions online.

“THIS IS AWESOME,” one fan wrote.

“As much as I dislike BYU. Having one of the greatest NFL coaches in history pull up to the local conference tournament wearing this fit is a total vibe,” another said.

“Go Big Red. Glad he’s out supporting his school. Andy is a really good guy,” another stated.

“Looks so much better in blue. He should change his nickname, at least for today to Big Blue,” a BYU fan wrote.

“BYU so lethal from three early on!!! Also Andy Reid in the stands!” another fan wrote.

“Chiefs 3x Super Bowl HC Andy Reid is in the Arena for BYU Hoops!” said another.

The BYU men’s basketball account also posted a photo of Reid in the pullover.

“Grateful to have you here, Coach Reid!”

“GOAT,” said another.

As Reid prepares for another season as the Chiefs head coach — which will be his 13th — he couldn’t help but take in some BYU basketball in Kansas City.

BYU ended up defeating Iowa State, 96-92, as the Cougars advanced in the Big 12 Tournament. They will face off next against the winner of Houston vs. Colorado.
