Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is set to miss significant time following MRI results on the hamstring injury he suffered during Sunday’s Week 9 loss to the Atlanta Falcons.

The initial diagnosis of Prescott’s injury is a partial avulsion of his hamstring tendon, which is partially torn off the bone. Recovery is expected to take more than four weeks, according to a report from NFL insider Jane Slater.

During a recent episode of “The Facility” on FS1, former NFL wide receiver James Jones accused Prescott of quitting on his team after suffering this injury.

Jones suggested Prescott could’ve fought through the pain and stayed on the field for the remainder of Sunday’s game.

“We know when dudes is hurt and they really can’t go, and we know when dudes is messing around,” Jones said. “It ain’t off the bone, we seen the play.”

These comments about Prescott sparked some serious backlash from fans around the NFL world.

Jones’ co-host Emmanuel Acho called him out after today’s reports.

“Ummm, James Jones, I believe you owe Dak Prescott a massive apology tomorrow on @TheFacilityFS1. I told ya to wait til them MRI’s came out!” Acho wrote on X.

“Nawww….this can’t wait until tomorrow! That’s my fault…seeing the reports of how bad it might be…that’s tough! God Speed Dak,” Jones replied.

Earlier this week, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said it’s “likely” the team places Prescott on the injured reserve. But as of Wednesday, Prescott still hasn’t been moved to the IR.

Prescott is reportedly seeking other options for recovery, which could be the reason for the Cowboys’ hesitation.

The Cowboys will face off against the division-rival Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. Cooper Rush, who came in as relief for Prescott in Week 9, is expected to be the team’s starter.
