Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins (5) makes a touchdown over the Baltimore Ravens in the 3rd quarter Sunday October 6, 2024 at Payor Stadium. The Bengals lost 41-38 in overtime.
The Cincinnati Bengals are attempting to get back in the playoff picture as they are sitting with a 4-5 record and have a massive game against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 10 on Thursday Night Football. However, one of their star players has officially been listed as doubtful for the game and that will be a massive loss if his status does not improve.
According to the Cincinnati Bengals’ injury report, wide receiver Tee Higgins is officially listed as doubtful with a quadriceps injury. He missed the previous two games against the Philadelphia Eagles and Las Vegas Raiders due to the injury and this has been a massive issue for the Cincinnati Bengals this season.
Tee Higgins signed the franchise tag before the season, giving him a one-year, $21.8 million contract and making him an unrestricted free agent after the 2024 season. His injuries have been an issue though as he has 29 receptions for 45 targets for 341 yards (11.8 yards per catch) and three touchdowns.
After the 2024 NFL Trade Deadline has officially passed, it is clear that Tee Higgins will at least finish the season with the Cincinnati Bengals.
Can the Cincinnati Bengals make the playoffs?
If the postseason started today, the Cincinnati Bengals would be on the outside looking in as they are currently in the ninth seed of the AFC. According to DraftKings Sportsbook, the team is -125 to not make the playoffs and +100 to be one of the seven teams from the AFC to make it.
They have a tough road ahead of them as they already are 4-5 and below is the remaining schedule:
- Week 10: at Baltimore Ravens (Thursday)
- Week 11: at Los Angeles Chargers
- Week 12: BYE
- Week 13: vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
- Week 14: at Dallas Cowboys
- Week 15: at Tennessee Titans
- Week 16: vs. Cleveland Browns (Thursday)
- Week 17: vs Denver Broncos
- Week 18: at Pittsburgh Steelers
The Bengals are in a tough spot right now with some heavy hitters still on the schedule and a lot of that has to do with the AFC North being full of good teams. It is unlikely the Cincinnati Bengals will make the playoffs this season.
