Former Penn State tight end Mike Gesicki can get a little more comfortable in his current surroundings. According to multiple reports on Saturday from around the NFL, Gesicki has agreed on a contract with the Cincinnati Bengals to stay in Cincinnati for the next three seasons.
According to multiple reports on Saturday, Gesicki’s new contract will be valued at $25.5 million over the course of the next three seasons. Gesicki was signed to a one-year contract by the Bengals for the 2024 season after a previous one-year run with the New England Patriots and the first five years of his NFL career with the Miami Dolphins.
It’s a 3-year deal worth $25.5M for Mike Gesicki. While the #Bengals work on their two star WRs, their emerging TE stays with Joe Burrow, too. https://t.co/LcSWI6mCHY

Gesicki’s first year in Cincinnati was a bit of a rejuvenating experience with 665 receiving yards (third-most in a single season in his career) and 65 receptions (second-most in a single season in his career). Perhaps the difference in playing with Joe Burrow at quarterback as opposed to Mac Jones, Ryan Fitzgerald, and Ryan Tannenhill for the majority of his career.
Gesicki signing a three-year deal with the Bengals could take some focus on drafting a tight end in the early rounds out of the picture for the Bengals in the upcoming NFL draft. Ironically, the Bengals were projected by some to be the landing spot for Penn State’s next NFL-caliber tight end, Tyler Warren. Of course, the Bengals could create quite a monster tight end combo by adding Warren alongside Gesicki. Penn State fans would certainly love to see that.
