The Green Bay Packers are on the brink of becoming a championship caliber team. Making the playoffs in back-to-back seasons only to lose to the eventual NFC Champions (49ers) and Super Bowl Champions (Eagles).
The team may be a few pieces away from becoming a championship caliber team, however, one NFC North rival could help with that in a big way.
Packers Reportedly Interested In NFC North Rival Pro Bowler (Report)
According to Matt Schneidman of The Athletic:
Some intriguing options in free agency at the position could push Nixon to No. 2 outside corner, which might be best for the Packers. Vikings cornerback Byron Murphy, a Pro Bowl starter in 2024, is likely the top option.
Also set to be available are the 49ers’ Charvarius Ward, the Jets’ D.J. Reed, the Lions’ Carlton Davis and the Eagles’ Darius Slay. The Packers also have a decision to make on Eric Stokes, their 2021 first-round cornerback who had a strong rookie season but never returned to that form after an injury-riddled 2022 and 2023.
Even if they re-sign him, it should be only for depth.
