TONIGHT’S MATCHUP

The Blackhawks are 15-8-1 in their last 24 games against Detroit since the 2015-16 season. Chicago is also 11-3-2 in their last 16 games against the Red Wings at the United Center. Blackhawks forward Ilya Mikheyev has seven points (2G, 5A) in eight career games against the Red Wings. In their last meeting on Feb. 25, Nick Foligno found the back of the net, while Connor Bedard notched an assist during a 3-2 overtime loss to the Red Wings.

The Blackhawks defeated the Anaheim Ducks 4-2 on Sunday evening at Honda Center. Connor Bedard notched three assists. Taylor Hall posted two helpers. Ryan Donato, Seth Jones and Teuvo Teravainen each scored once. Isaak Phillips also found the back of the net for his first goal of the season. Soderblom improved to a 2-1-0 career record against the Ducks, with a 2.67 goals-against average and a .925 save percentage.

Blackhawks forward Connor Bedard tallied three assists against Anaheim for his 11th career multi-assist game, tying Bobby Hull for the second most by a Blackhawks teenager, behind Patrick Kane (13). It was also his sixth career three-point game, passing Jonathan Toews and Jeremy Roenick for the second most by a Blackhawks teenager behind only Patrick Kane (10).

DO’S AND DONATO’S

Ryan Donato scored his team-leading seventh goal of the season on Sunday and now has points (5G, 2A) in five-straight games, tying his career-long point streak set during the 2018-19 season with Boston (2G, 5A). His seven goals share 14th among all NHL skaters. Donato now has two goals over his last three games against Anaheim.
