After the Kansas City Chiefs got blown out by the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX, quarterback Patrick Mahomes is getting some much-needed rest and spending quality time with his family.
Mahomes and his wife, Brittany Mahomes, welcomed their third child together, a daughter named Golden Raye, during the Chiefs’ bye week in January.
The 29-year-old quarterback told reporters leading up to the big game that he looked forward to focusing on just being a dad after the Super Bowl. “[During] football season, you take so much time away from those little memories that you have just taking your kids to gym class or whatever it is and taking them to school and stuff like that.
“Whenever I get in the offseason, I try to spend as much time as I can with them, and get to see what they do on a day-to-day basis and build those memories with them.”
Mahomes and Brittany are also parents to daughter Sterling Skye, 4, and son Patrick “Bronze” Lavon, 2. While Sterling and Bronze have attended numerous Chiefs games and regularly appear in photos on their parents’ social media pages, Brittany has not yet shared a photo of Golden.
Since their second daughter was born on Jan. 12, Brittany has only posted photos of Golden’s feet or a view of her stroller. During a personal training session on March 4, the 29-year-old called Golden “My fav workout partner.”
While Brittany’s trainer, Betina Gozo Shimonek, showed off a photo her newborn, Makoa, on her Instagram Stories, Brittany posted a message to clarify that was not her baby.
Brittany posted, “I think I need to clarify, Golden is in the stroller. you can’t see her and you won’t for awhile . That is Makoa in the bouncer.”
While Chiefs Kingdom can’t wait to see the first photo of Golden, they will have to wait until her parents feel comfortable doing so. Perhaps, over the summer or when the 2025 NFL season kicks off, fans can catch of glimpse of the youngest Mahomes.
