BREAKING : Chiefs’ Xavier Worthy Reacts to Isaiah Bond Failing to Break 40-Yard Dash Record

Chiefs' Xavier Worthy Reacts to Isaiah Bond Failing to Break 40-Yard Dash Record - Newsweek

Current Kansas City Chiefs star and speedster Xavier Worthy set the NFL Combine record for the fastest 40-yard dash when he posted a lightning-fast 4.21-second record. Worthy’s speed led to the Chiefs trading up to select Worthy in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft.

Fast forward to the 2025 NFL Combine, another Texas wide receiver was very vocal about his own speed. Isaiah Bond stated he would snap Worthy’s record during the 40-yard dash.

Bond stated, “I’m going to break the record … for sure.”

Bond ran on Saturday the NFL Combine, and posted a first run of 4.41. His second run saw the receiver hit a 4.40.

Bond did not get close to Worthy’s record, and missed it by a while two seconds. The big miss led to Worthy reminding Bond about his speed.

Worthy took to X to state, “There’s fast then there’s me.”

Bond ran a very fast 40-yard dash, and no one can argue that at all. However, he failed to get close to the run that Worthy accomplished in 2024.
