There has been a lot of talk surrounding Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and his girlfriend Taylor Swift taking a vacation abroad now that they have time on their hands.
Swift’s near-two-year “Eras Tour” concert series concluded in December, while Kelce’s season with the Chiefs came to an end following their heartbreaking Super Bowl loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Feb. 9.
According to an Us Weekly report, Swift wanted to “go to multiple places in Europe and somewhere tropical,” although the exact location of the supposed vacation was not disclosed.
As it turns out, the couple has already been on their trip, and they are now back in the United States — at least according to a new report by Page Six. While the vacation destination remains unknown, Swift and Kelce reportedly “had a really nice time reconnecting after a very busy year.”
Apparently, the couple also had a “date night” upon their return to America — one that involved an unexpected twist.
“Taylor and Travis have stepped out for a date night since returning to the US but went unnoticed when they did so,” Page Six’s source revealed.
“They weren’t photographed or anything, and enjoyed a low-key night out on the town together.”
One could argue that Swift and Kelce are the most high-profile couple on the planet right now, which is why it’s rather unusual that the media was not able to capture any photos of the two during their recent date night.
This is a welcome change from the usual media circus that accompanies the couple during their public appearances.
On Feb. 7, two days before the Super Bowl, the couple went out to dinner at New Orleans hotspot Lilette with Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany Mahomes.
Fans and members of the media immediately flocked to the French restaurant upon learning of their presence. Things got a little bit out of hand as people outside the establishment were reportedly “pressed up against the windows.” On top of that, a fan supposedly attempted to “steal a water glass that she thought the singer had taken a drink from.”
This type of pandemonium is not unusual for Swift and Kelce during their occasional nights out, which is why the lack of media coverage on their recent date night does come as a bit of an unexpected development.
