BREAKING NEWS : Travis Kelce ‘already knows’ his retirement decision

Jason Kelce has revealed that he believes Travis has already made a decision on his future.

Jason Kelce, brother of Travis Kelce, has shared his belief that the Kansas City Chiefs star has already decided on his potential retirement following this month’s Super Bowl loss.

Rumours have spread like wildfire regarding Travis’ future following the Chiefs’ defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles, where they were royally trounced in a disastrous display in New Orleans.

Recently, as Travis escapes to Europe with his girlfriend Taylor Swift, his brother Jason Kelce appeared on The Steam Room podcast with Charles Barkley and Ernie Johnson, where the future of his brother was brought up.

I think he probably, in his heart, already knows what he wants to do,” the former Eagles man revealed. “That’s the reality of it.

When will Travis Kelce retire?

“I’m sure we will talk about it. We’ve already talked about it a little bit, and I’m sure he’s going to go through a process of figuring that out.

We’re very similar people, but we also have different ways of thinking about things. Sometimes I can way over-analyse situations, and my brother has this way of being like, ‘Hey man, you want to play or you don’t want to play’. He’ll say something like that where it’s just like, ‘Don’t worry about all of these minor things.’ And nine times out of ten, he’s right about all of it”, he concluded.

‘I’ve played more football than anybody’

Following the embarrassing Super Bowl defeat, Kelce told talkSPORT that “the process can be gruelling. It can weigh on you. It can make you better and it can drive you crazy at the same time. It was one of those things that was kind of driving me crazy this year.”

“The fact that we keep going to these AFC Championships and these Super Bowls… I’ve played more football than anybody. I’m playing in an extra three games more than everybody else in the entire league. That’s a lot of wear and tear on your body. It’s a lot of time spent in the building.”

Reports indicate that the Chiefs have set a March 14 deadline for Kelce to make his decision on retirement, as he is reportedly set to receive an $11.5 million bonus on March 15, which could explain why the team has imposed a deadline the day before.
