BREAKING : πŸ† Chiefs Sign 2-Time Super Bowl Champion Ready to Break Out with New Contract! πŸ”₯

Chiefs sign 2-time Super Bowl champion who is ready to breakout to new deal imageThe Kansas City Chiefs have officially shifted their focus to next season. While free agency is not open yet, they have already started planning for the future.

The Chiefs have signed Justyn Ross to a reserves/futures contract. Ross signed as an undrafted free agent with the Chiefs in 2022 after being a standout player at Clemson University. He played in 10 games in 2023 and two games last season. He ended this season with just one target. In 2023 he tallied six catches for 53 yards.

The Chiefs receiver room has been crowded and Ross has dealt with injuries and suspension preventing his breakout. However, next season, the Chiefs are likely to have Xavaier Worthy and Rashee Rice as their top two receivers. After them, Ross has an opportunity to earn playing time. He has spent the majority of his time with the team on the practice squad.

As a freshman at Clemson, he had 1,000 yards and nine touchdowns, helping Clemson win a national championship. He finished his college career with 2,379 yards and 20 touchdowns. With Marquise Brown, JuJu Smith-Schuster and DeAndre Hopkins all potentially leaving, Ross can finally explode at training camp and find himself on the 53-man roster from the onset.

Ross is a bigger target, checking in at 6’4″ and 210 lbs. He can be a nice compliment to Worthy and Rice if he can find a way on the field. The new deal gives him a chance to try once again and earn a spot at training camp. The Chiefs clearly see something in Ross to keep him around for another year.
