Cowboys could beef up the trenches with these players in the draft

With the way the new offensive coaching staff was formed for the Dallas Cowboys, it seems like they will want to get back to running the football at a high clip.

The problem is, when you look at not only the backfield, but the boys up front, it is not ideal.

The Cowboys have the 12th pick in the draft this season, and if they don’t go with Ashton Jeanty who seems like the popular pick at the moment, I dove into some pretty decent offensive lineman that have some pretty high grades on them.

The Cowboys could take one of these few to beef up that line for whomever is running the ball next year.

Armand Membou

Armand Membou from Missouri is currently ranked as Bleacher Reports top offensive tackle prospect.

he’s listed at 6-foot-3, 325 pounds, He allowed nine pressures and zero sacks in 2024 and ranked ninth in pressure rate among tackles in the 2025 Draft class.

Overall, he is very fluid, sliding with counters, and has a strong inside hand to stay in phase as he redirects. As long as he strikes from a balanced platform, he’s athletic enough to mirror pass rushers on an island in both directions.

Although he is ranked as the best tackle in this years draft, he almost seems like he will be a raw talent like Tyler Guyton was, and the Cowboys would be taking another risk.

I think Membou is probably better overall coming out of college, and if he is there for them at 12, I would strongly think about taking him to make sure this offensive line gets better.

Will Campbell

Picking at 12 might be another spot where they could get a guy like Will Campbell. Another tackle, Campbell, will be there if he is not taken by the Bears or the 49ers, who pick right before them at 10 and 11.

A three-year starter in Baton Rouge, Campbell stepped into the left tackle role once on campus and never gave the position up. He protected Jayden Daniels and then Garrett Nussmeier for LSU.

He is a technician with great agility and balance, but his shorter arms (under 33 inches) and an upright stance which lacks base power could force a move to guard, so they could continue to use Guyton and do something else with Campbell, but he blocked for the Heisman Trophy winner and another pretty good QB in Nussmeier.

Luke Kandra

Luke Kandra is a guy that the Dallas Cowboys could look to grab in the later rounds. He is a guard from Cincinnati.

Kandra started all 12 games at right guard, anchoring an offensive line that propelled the Bearcats to the fifth-best rushing attack in the nation, averaging 217.1 yards per game.

He played 895 snaps during the regular season, the third-most of any guard in the country.

Kandra is a projected 4th round pick at the moment, and if they want to for go wasting an early pick, maybe they come back to a guy this Luke.

Kandra possesses a high football I.Q., identifying twists and stunts in pass protection at a high level.

Good At One Thing

When it comes to the Cowboys, we know they love to draft offensive lineman, and they have been very good at it over the years.

Tyler Guyton struggled in his rookie year, but they hit on Tyler Smith, and I am sure they could land another stud this year.

If they are going to try and run the football, they are going to need to beef this line back up first, no matter who the running back is for them in 2025. Rico Dowdle is a pending free agent, and this draft is full of backs.

I would take one in the 2nd or 3rd round if they don’t land Jeanty. Doing so would allow them to get a first round talent on the offensive line.
