Kansas City Chiefs are at risk of losing Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown to the Buffalo Bills.
The 27-year-old joined the Chiefs in March 2024, signing a one-year contract worth a reported £8.7million ($11m).
However, Brown is now set to become a free agent following last week’s Super Bowl defeat against the Philadelphia Eagles.
As per ESPN, the Super Bowl runners-up are concerned the Bills will spring a move to sign the wide receiver instead.
The outlet claims Bills quarterback Josh Allen is fond of Brown’s talents and has been crossing his fingers for a link-up ahead of the 2025 season.
It’s no surprise Allen is fond of Brown, considering he’s also one of Patrick Mahomes’ favourite wide receivers to work with. The three-time Super Bowl champion was said to have been delighted when Brown arrived in Kansas City last year.
It’s believed Mahomes could push for Brown to sign a longer deal with Kansas City in order for him to stick around.
But should he leave the team for good, it could present a problem for head coach Andy Reid, given they’ll most likely need to sign a replacement, but the Chiefs don’t have much cap space to work with.

Touching on Brown’s quality in an interview last year, he said: “It is a great group that all mesh well together and so I’m excited for their future. The sky is the limit.
“He [Brown] can run those over the middle routes, he can run really good [shorter] routes and he can run deep.
“It’s not like fast is the only thing that he can do and you’ve seen that kind of really kind of transpire over these last few days of practice and he keeps getting better and better.”
Brown’s target for the new season will be to bounce back from the shoulder injury that rocked his season.

The Florida-born star hurt his shoulder in pre-season and required surgery to fix the problem before making a return to action in December.
The Chiefs have at least been boosted by Reid confirming he’ll be in charge for the 2025 season.
Speaking earlier this month, the 66-year-old revealed: “Yes, I’ll be back.
“That’s not part of it [becoming the most successful NFL coach]. I just enjoy teaching. I don’t get caught up much in the stats or the records. I enjoy being around the guys.
“I enjoy football, the game. You can’t put in the hours we do and not enjoy it. I love the game.”
