The Kansas City Chiefs are still reeling from their loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX but the disappointment will lead to excitement as they enter the offseason.

This offseason has plenty of questions surrounding the Chiefs as they look to get back to the top of the mountain after Sunday’s loss. With key free agent decisions looming, players on thin ice and a team that’s expected to contend for another Super Bowl next year, there’s a lot to watch out for and it started with a slew of moves on Tuesday afternoon.

Chiefs Sign 11 Players to Reserve/Future Contracts After Super Bowl

The Chiefs announced that they have signed 11 players to reserve/future contracts following Sunday’s loss in the Super Bowl. The group includes quarterback Chris Oladokun, wide receivers Jason Brownlee, Justyn Ross and Tyquan Thornton, tight end Baylor Cupp, tackle Chukuebuka Godrick, defensive linemen Siaki Ika and Fabien Lovett Sr., cornerbacks Darius Rush and Eric Scott Jr., and safety Deon Bush.

As of the official announcement, seven players who were part of the Chiefs practice squad last season were not signed to futures contracts on Tuesday. They include linebackers Swayze Bozeman and Cole Christiansen, tight end Anthony Firsker, running back Keontay Ingram, cornerbacks Nic Jones and Steven Nelson and wide receiver Montrell Washington.

The Chiefs finished the regular season with a 15-2 record and reached the Super Bowl for the fourth time in the past five years last season. While they will be a contender to return as long as they have Patrick Mahomes at quarterback, the Chiefs also have key free agent decisions including guard Trey Smith, receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown and offensive tackle D.J. Humphries.

With improvements needed along the offensive line, the backfield and the secondary, it will be a pivotal offseason to try and keep their dynasty alive.
