BREAKING :πŸ”₯ Chiefs’ Shot at Redemption! Will They Avenge Their Super Bowl Nightmare Against the Eagles? πŸˆπŸ‘€

Super Bowl LIX: Kansas City Chiefs v Philadelphia Eagles

Super Bowl LIX was a painful loss that will stick with the Kansas City Chiefs for a while. A dismantling defeat of that magnitude is something the Chiefs have not endured since Super Bowl LV. However, a look toward 2025 reveals that Kansas City will get an immediate chance at revenge. The Eagles will be on the Chiefs’ schedule next year, with K.C. set to host Philadelphia at Arrowhead.

Andy Reid and his Chiefs defeated the Eagles in the first four matchups between the two franchises since the head coach came to Kansas City. That stretch included the victory in Super Bowl LVII. Yet, Philadelphia has now won two straight contests against Kansas City. The Chiefs had a chaotic finish when hosting the Eagles in the 2023 regular season, with Marquez Valdes-Scantling dropping what looked to be a sure go-ahead touchdown late. And then, Sunday’s Super Bowl was the second straight time in which Philly topped K.C.

Overall, the Eagles are one of eight teams that made the playoffs in 2024 that the Chiefs will see next year. Two of those are divisional foes from the AFC Westβ€”the Denver Broncos and the Los Angeles Chargers. Of the other six teams that made the playoffs on the Kansas City schedule, five are set to be home games for the Chiefs (Houston, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Washington, and Detroit). The Buffalo Bills are the only non-division opponents that they will see on the road of teams that made the 2024 postseason.

The 2025 regular season schedule will include a rematch of Super Bowl LIX.

It will be interesting to see how many organizational changes there will be in just one offseason between the Chiefs and the Eagles. Much of Philadelphia’s roster will remain intact, but many of their top pending free agents this offseason are defensive linemen. Zack Baun, Mekhi Becton, and Avonte Maddox are a few other notable names who are set to be available.

On the flip side, it feels like plenty of changes could be coming to the Chiefs’ roster. Pending free agents include names like Trey Smith, Nick Bolton, Justin Reid, DeAndre Hopkins, Hollywood Brown, Kareem Hunt, and Charles Omenihu, just to name a few. Kansas City remade the offensive line after the blowout loss in Super Bowl LV. Could the same thing happen again after another daunting Super Bowl loss? Plus, the future of Travis Kelce will be a major topic worth monitoring.

All in all, the Chiefs seek revenge on the Eagles with a modified nucleus around Patrick Mahomes.
