It’s safe to say no one saw the 40-22 beatdown the Philadelphia Eagles handed the Kansas City Chiefs Sunday in Super Bowl 59 coming.

The Chiefs played one of their worst games of the Patrick Mahomes era on the biggest stage of the year, watching their shot at NFL history as the first team to three-peat as Super Bowl champions fall by the wayside.

Kansas City’s offensive struggled to move the ball for the first two-and-a-half quarters as Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce were neutralized by Philly’s strong defensive game plan.

Kelce was held without a catch in the first half of a postseason game for the first time in his career, and he finished with only four catches for 39 yards. It was the eighth time this season he logged four or fewer catches and the ninth time he totaled less than 40 yards receiving.

Travis Kelce left distraught by one-sided Super Bowl drubbing

It was clear Kelce’s frustration was build the longer he went without a catch and the longer KC’s offense went without scoring a touchdown, and that frustration boiled over more than a few times as footage emerged on Monday showing Kelce jawing and getting physical with a couple of Eagles players after the whistle.

Fans had a field day in the comment section of the video on social media, which shows Kelce getting in the face of 6-foot-3, 314-pound defensive tackle Jalen Carter after one play and shoving 6-foot-6, 336 pounds defensive tackle Jordan Davis after another.

“He did the same thing against the bills and drew a penalty. he was baiting them because getting flags is the only way they can move the ball,” one fan wrote.

“He was just tryna draw penalties it works in every game he does it in,” another fan agreed.

“Kelce thinks he’s untouchable,” one user quipped.

“Wish he would have showed this much fight during the play…” another fan proclaimed.

“Bro is taking out his Taylor Swift frustrations on the field ,” remarked one fan.

“Kelce’s whiny [expletive] trying to move Jordan Davis is hilarious lmaooo ,” another user joked.

Travis Kelce Has Catchless First Half for Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX vs. Eagles

Kelce’s behavior was oddly reminiscent of what happened during the AFC Championship game two weeks prior.

After a Mahomes 10-yard rushing touchdown, Kelce got in the face of Bills safety Damar Hamlin, which prompted defensive tackle Jordan Phillips to come to his teammate’s defense.

Phillips head-butted Kelce, drawing a 15-yard penalty for unnecessary roughness while Kelce’s taunting penalty was never called by the officials.
