Patrick Mahomes' Interaction With Andy Reid's Wife Turns Heads After Super Bowl - Athlon Sports

Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs fell short of NFL history, suffering a 40-22 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl.

The Chiefs entered the matchup having won back-to-back Super Bowl titles. A win for Kansas City in Super Bowl LIX would have made them the first team in the modern era to win three straight titles.

Despite the experience, they were outplayed on all facets.

Following the brutal loss for the Chiefs, Kansas City reporter Jesse Newell posted a video of Mahomes’ interaction with head coach Andy Reid’s wife, Tammy Reid.

The two shared a short conversation and a hug before Mahomes walked through the tunnel.

Following the release the video, showing Mahomes and Reid’ exchange, some fans took to social media to comment on the interaction.

“It must be Hard to him,” said one fan.

“That was a nice Mom moment,” said another fan.

“Such a nice lady in the times I’ve met her,” mentioned one fan.

“He needed a hug; even in losing,” commented one fan. “We just gotta get stronger and younger.

We have manhandled GM. You’re gonna have to get an offensive line,” said one fan.

“Brilliantly expressed! This thought is so true. Appreciate it for putting this out there,” said another fan.

The Chiefs’ offense capped off Super Bowl LIX with 275 total yards, 12 first-down conversions and 5.6 yards per play.

Mahomes took to social media after the game, showing his appreciation for Chiefs fans as well as sharing a blunt review of the matchup.

“Appreciate all the love and support from Chiefs Kingdom I let y’all down today,” Mahomes said. “I’ll always continue to work and try and learn and be better for it. Want to give thanks to God for every opportunity he has given me. We will be back.
