The Kansas City Chiefs entered the fourth quarter down 34-6 as the team had no answers for the Philadelphia Eagles all evening. After earning the No. 1 seed in the AFC, Kansas City just didn’t have enough fire-power against Philly.
Entering the contest, the Chiefs’ franchise was being compared to the New England Patriots as the NFL’s next dynasty. It makes sense considering Kansas City has participated in five Super Bowl appearances in six years.
On top of that, losing the title game to the Eagles prevented the Chiefs from making NFL history as becoming the first team to ever win a three-peat in the Super Bowl era. With that feat no longer coming to fruition, Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy shared his reaction to the big game.
Portnoy, who is a well-known Patriots fan, blasted Kansas City for its performance on Sunday. The 47-year-old entrepreneur claimed, “It does stop the conversation… of people comparing the New England Patriots dynasty and the Chiefs dynasty. They don’t even belong on the same field.”
Emergency Press Conference – Yes this game sucked but at least we never have to hear idiot fans compare the Chiefs dynasty to the Patriots dynasty ever again. pic.twitter.com/uncLGj5ZiU

The Patriots won six Super Bowls from 2002 to 2019. Tom Brady served as the quarterback, who ended his career with seven titles after winning one with the Tamba Bay Buccaneers in 2021.
As for the Chiefs, the organization has won three championships since 2020. But fans made the comparison to the Patriots due to the number of times Kansas City has made a championship appearance in just a six-year span.
Either way, the Chiefs will have more opportunities moving forward, as Mahomes is still considered one of the best active quarterbacks in the league.
