Super Bowl or Swift Bowl: Die-hard Swiftie trolls Eagles fans with Philadelphia billboard and dazzling ‘Taylor is the NFL’ jacket

Super Bowl or Swift Bowl: Die-hard Swiftie trolls Eagles fans with Philadelphia billboard and dazzling 'Taylor is the NFL' jacket - The Economic Times

While most fans heading to the Super Bowl are focused on the showdown between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers, one die-hard Taylor Swift fan is proving that the big game isn’t just about football—it’s about making a statement.

Meet Jake Duhaime, a Boston-based marketing executive and self-proclaimed Swiftie who’s turning heads at Radio Row with his over-the-top, golden-sequined “Taylor is the NFL” jacket. But that’s not all—he also took his Swiftie dedication to the next level by buying a billboard in Philadelphia to troll Eagles fans.

Duhaime’s custom jacket, designed by Mel the Clothing, is more than just flashy—it’s a walking tribute to Swift’s influence on the NFL this season. The jacket is adorned with glittering patches featuring Easter egg nods to Swift, including images of her kissing Travis Kelce on the field and a cheeky nod to Super Bowl LIX with “Tayvoodoo” written across the chest.

His sleeves read “Dynasty (Taylor’s Version)” and “Tay-Peat (Taylor’s Version)”, a reference to the Chiefs’ bid for back-to-back championships. The bold red-and-yellow fleur-de-lis on the collar is yet another nod to Swift’s presence in New Orleans for the big game.

A Billboard to Taunt Eagles Fans

If the golden jacket wasn’t enough, Duhaime went even further—partnering with Dallas-based breath spray company Tasty Clean to put up a massive billboard in Philadelphia. The sign, which cost $3,000, is strategically placed near Lincoln Financial Field and reads:

“Hey Philly, Tayvoodoo is real. Alchemy becomes reality on 02.09.25.”

A not-so-subtle jab at Eagles fans who were quick to blame Swift for their team’s downfall this season.

Duhaime has been following Swift’s career since the release of Teardrops On My Guitar, describing her as “the next LeAnn Rimes” when he first heard her music. He’s attended every one of her tours and fondly recalls seeing her open for Keith Urban during the Fearless era in 2009.

“If I could tell Taylor one thing,” he says, “It would be thank you for getting me into live music. I get the same feeling of excitement watching her perform as I do watching my team in the Super Bowl.”

With Swift attending the game to support Kelce, fans like Duhaime proving that she’s the real MVP, and conspiracy theories about her “Tayvoodoo” magic taking over the NFL—it’s clear this Super Bowl is about more than just football. Whether the Chiefs win or not, one thing is certain: Taylor Swift has already taken over the biggest game of the year.
