As hard as it is to believe, the 2025 NFL Draft isn’t far off, as the Annual Player Selection Meeting — which is actually its official name — is set to take place from April 24-26. And for the first time ever, the Green Bay Packers will host the event.

As for how the Packers are looking for the upcoming draft, they’re in reasonably decent shape, as they currently own one selection in each of the seven rounds.

They’ll have their original picks in Rounds 1-6, and while they traded away their seventh-rounder to the Tennessee Titans when they acquired Malik Willis, they received a seventh-rounder in the deal that sent Preston Smith to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

So, here’s how things are looking for Green Bay at the moment, according to the fine folks at Tankathon:

  • Round 1: No. 23 overall
  • Round 2: No. 54 overall
  • Round 3: No. 87 overall
  • Round 4: No. 123 overall
  • Round 5: No. 160 overall
  • Round 6: No. 200 overall
  • Round 7: No. 239 overall (from Pittsburgh)

It must be noted, of course, that the selection numbers for Rounds 3-7 are estimates at this point, as the NFL has yet to officially award compensatory picks, which are typically awarded in March.

For those unaware, these are extra picks added to the end of Rounds 3-7 and distributed to teams with a net loss of qualified free agents during the previous offseason. As to how the league determines who is a qualified free agent and who isn’t, a formula that considers average salary, snap counts, and awards, among other things, is utilized.

Since compensatory picks were first distributed in 1994, the Packers have received the third-most with 52, trailing only the Baltimore Ravens (56) and Dallas Cowboys (54).

Packers projected to land one compensatory pick in 2025 NFL Draft

As for the 2025 draft, Green Bay is expected to receive just one extra selection to compensate for the loss of offensive tackle Yosh Nijman.

The Packers also lost safety Darnell Savage and offensive lineman Jon Runyan to qualifying deals last offseason but signed running back Josh Jacobs and safety Xavier McKinney. And as these transactions cancel each other out, Green Bay gets just the one compensatory pick.

A year ago, Green Bay received three additional selections due to losing Allen Lazard, Jarran Reed, Dean Lowry, and Robert Tonyan.

Typically, they would have received a fourth compensatory pick (the maximum allowed) since they didn’t sign any qualifying free agents. But the NFL explained why that didn’t happen:

“The Collective Bargaining Agreement limits the number of compensatory selections to the number of clubs then in the League (32). This year, three clubs, the Dallas Cowboys, Green Bay Packers, and Jacksonville Jaguars qualified for a compensatory selection under the net loss formula but will not receive that pick because the final numerical value of the CFA who was lost ranked 33rd or lower among the final numerical values of all compensatory selections.”
