The Green Bay Packers have some questions on their coaching staff that still need to be answered. Earlier this offseason, they replaced defensive line coach Jason Rebrovich (fired) with former New England Patriots defensive coordinator DeMarcus Covington. They also replaced quarterback coach Tom Clements (retired) with Sean Mannion, who was an offensive assistant last year.
However, they still need to find or promote someone to fill the role of linebackers coach. Last week, Anthony Campanile, who joined Matt LaFleur‘s staff after four seasons as a linebackers coach with the Miami Dolphins, was hired by the Jacksonville Jaguars to be their defensive coordinator.
And now he has taken another Packers coach with him.
The Jacksonville Jaguars Have Hired Green Bay Packers Coach Anthony Perkins as Their Secondary Coach
According to Diana Russini of The Athletic, Packers defensive quality control coach Anthony Perkins has been hired by the Jaguars as their secondary coach.

Per John Shipley of Sports Illustrated, “Perkins spent the 2024 season with the Packers as they formed one of the best defenses in the NFL under defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley, who has also worked in the past with Campanile and Lukabu. The Jaguars’ defense struggled mightily last season, and it appears Coen is leaning toward the Hafley tree to help his unit turn it around quickly.”
It makes sense why Coen is poaching Hafley’s coaches. Last season, the Packers had a top-ten defense after years of being mediocre, especially against the run.
Green Bay, meanwhile, has yet to announce a replacement for Campanile, and now they will need to find a replacement for Perkins.
It will be interesting to see who LaFleur and Hafley bring in.
