BREAKING NEWS : NFL Insider Shares Latest on Tee Higgins’ Future With Cincinnati Bengals

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins (5) takes the field for the first quarter of the NFL Week 18 game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cincinnati Bengals at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2025.

CINCINNATI — Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins is set to become a free agent in March.

Will the Bengals re-sign him or will he end up elsewhere?

Dianna Russini of The Athletic shared an update on Higgins’ mindset entering a big offseason.

“He really wants to see and have an answer to what is next very soon,” Russini said on the Scoop City Podcast. “This isn’t going to be something we’re going to see drag out where come early March there’s a lot of questions. He’s trying to figure out and his representation is as well: ‘Who’s going to pay the most amount of money for Tee Higgins.'”

The Bengals can place the franchise tag on Higgins for a second-straight year to keep him from getting to free agency. If they did do that, it would have to be with the intention of agreeing to a long-term deal.

If they don’t tag him and aren’t able to get a long-term deal done before free agency, then Higgins will likely get $30+ million in free agency from the Patriots, Chargers, Bills, Packers, Titans or plenty of other teams that could be interested in his services.
