With the 2024 regular season wrapped, and the draft order officially set, the Browns turn their focus to draft season.

The Browns hold the No. 2 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. They have a total of nine picks in the draft, as they hold their own picks in Rounds 2-4 and 6, as well as third-round pick from Buffalo (WR Amari Cooper trade), a fifth-round pick from Detroit (DE Za’Darius Smith trade), a sixth-round pick from Minnesota (DE Za’Darius Smith trade) and a sixth-round pick from Chicago (DT Chris Williams trade).

Cleveland is in a new position for the 2025 NFL Draft, as it holds a first-round pick for the first time since the 2021 NFL Draft. Over the next few months leading up to the draft, there will be key markers of the draft season beginning with the Senior Bowl in late January and the NFL Combine in late February.

So, let’s take a look at early mock drafts to see who the draft experts and analysts believe could be options for the Browns for the No. 2 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Colorado's Shedeur Sanders Surpassed by Fellow QB as Favorite to Be No. 1 Pick in 2025 NFL Draft - Athlon Sports

The pick: QB Shedeur Sanders, Colorado
Analysis: In his latest mock draft, Reid believes Sanders could be a solid fit for the Browns and in head coach Kevin Stefanski’s offense. Sanders’ game centers around his ability as a pocket passer. He completed 353 of 477 passing attempts, or 74 percent of his passes. Sanders finished the 2024 season throwing for 4,134 yards and 37 touchdowns, and only through 10 interceptions.

The pick: WR/CB Travis Hunter, Colorado
Analysis: Kelly writes that if the Browns are not completely sold on a quarterback, they could use their first-round pick to take a player like Hunter – someone who is a playmaker at cornerback with instincts and ball skills. Kelly adds the Browns could also use a player like Hunter on the offensive side of the ball as a pass catcher in certain situations.

LSU OT Will Campbell ranked as No. 2 player in College Football 25

The pick: OT Will Campbell, LSU
Analysis: Baumgardner writes while the Browns could look to add depth at quarterback, there’s also an option to look at the draft’s top offensive tackle in Campbell. Over 12 games in the 2024 season, Campbell played 861 of 866 offensive snaps at left tackle. He finished with a 71.6 overall grade from PFF for the 2024 season.

The pick: WR/CB Travis Hunter, Colorado
Analysis: Sikkema explores the option of taking a quarterback with the No. 2 overall pick, while also considering the idea of trading down in the draft. Outside of those options, Sikkema stuck to the big board to take the best playmaker in Hunter. Sikkema wrote, “He could legitimately play on both sides of the ball in Cleveland. I would slot him in full time at cornerback with about 10-15 plays at receiver each week.”

The pick: QB Shedeur Sanders, Colorado
Analysis: Wilson writes that Sanders’ toughness stands out – especially at the quarterback position. He will stand in the pocket and take a hit in order to make a play downfield. Wilson added the hope is that Sanders could play on time more consistently, and with solid offensive line he has the potential to do so.
