Travis Kelceconfirmed that his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, will be in attendance at the Kansas City Chiefs’ first playoff game of the season.
As the Chiefs prepare to play against the Houston Texans at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri, on Saturday, January 18, Travis, 35, revealed that Taylor, 35, will be in the crowd to cheer him on following the team’s bye week.
“Is there going to be an aura in that place, a little bit extra? You know what we’re talking about,” Pat McAfee asked Travis during his appearance on the Monday, January 13, episode of the The Pat McAfee Show, referring to the “Cornelia Street” singer.
Travis then insisted that fans can expect to see Taylor by responding, “Oh yeah, you know it, baby. It’s playoff football, man.”
Pat, 37, then pointed out that the Chiefs have had a good record when Taylor’s been in the crowd. After all, they have only lost three of the 20 games she’s been to.
“Hey, is she undefeated?” Pat continued. “She rolls into that stadium, I just want to let you know what live bettors do. They see her walk into that stadium and immediately open the phone, like, ‘Yup, Chiefs are about to win.’ That is just literally the feel.”
Also during the interview, Travis seemingly hinted that Taylor was working on new music as fans eagerly await the release of her 12th album. “I’ve listened to all the albums,
I’ve heard about them all,” Pat said, noting that he believed Taylor had dated many “f–kboys” before her romance with Travis. “I appreciate you, dude. I also think there’s one coming where it’s going to be great, like, a guy good thing. Like, that’ll be great, in my house.”
Travis then teased that “there might be a few” new songs that Taylor has written since the release of her April 2024 album, The Tortured Poets Department, though he didn’t reveal if he had heard any of the tracks. “You know I can’t say, you know I can’t say … any of that,” the Ohio native responded. “I hear music everywhere.”
Despite choosing to not reveal too much about the new music Taylor is potentially working on, Travis did insist that he always encourages her when it comes to her songwriting. “Oh yeah, c’mon now, you know it,” he said. “I’ll never chime in, but you already know I’m here to support it, I’m here to see where it can go, you know what I mean.”
Ever since Taylor and Travis began dating in the summer of 2023, she has supported him at many of his football games. Meanwhile, Travis has been just as supportive by traveling around the world to attend her Eras tour concerts before the tour concluded in December 2024.
Now that Taylor has much more free time on her hands, it seems that she’s looking forward to spending quality time with her boyfriend. “After 21 on the road and a year-and-a-half with Travis, Taylor is ready for this next chapter to begin with the love of her life,” the source exclusively told Life & Style on January 9.
The insider added that the pair has “got a lot to look forward to, and they couldn’t be more excited about it.”
