LeSean McCoy Predicts Winner of Super Bowl 59 - Athlon Sports

The NFL postseason kicks off Saturday with a slate of exciting games, headlining a weekend full of football as 12 teams compete for the right to advance to divisional round of the playoffs and ultimately, to the Super Bowl on Feb. 9.

Ahead of the postseason, former star NFL running back LeSean McCoy, who has played for the Philadelphia Eagles, Buffalo Bills, Kansas City Chiefs, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, unveiled his Super Bowl prediction on Fox Sports’ “The Facility.”

McCoy, a six-time Pro Bowler, two-time Super Bowl champion, and two-time All-Pro, believes that a Super Bowl rematch between the Kansas City Chiefs (15-2) and the Philadelphia Eagles (14-3) is on the horizon. He predicts that Andy Reid and the Chiefs will secure their third Super Bowl title in a row, a feat that has never been accomplished in NFL history.

“The Chiefs, I’m going with the three-peat.” McCoy said. “I’m a huge, huge Andy Reid fan, and besides being biased, all they do is win. You’re gonna see Andy Reid do something that’s never been done before, and that’s the three-peat. I will say this though, it’ll be the Chiefs vs. the Eagles.”

LeSean McCoy won a Super Bowl with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2020, but he is best remembered for his standout years with the Philadelphia Eagles and the Buffalo Bills, where he earned all of his Pro Bowl selections.

Throughout his impressive NFL career, McCoy totaled 2,457 carries for 11,102 rushing yards and 73 touchdowns. One of his most iconic seasons came in 2013, when he rushed for a franchise-record 1,607 yards, a mark that stood as the Eagles’ single-season rushing record until Saquon Barkley surpassed it this year.
