The Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles are getting ready to square off in their fourth ever post-season match up. Philadelphia holds a 2-1 advantage in the playoffs while Green Bay holds a 28-19 record all-time.
However, Philadelphia may be dealing with some injuries that could impact the entire game.
“Both Of Them?” Packers Fans Can’t Believe It As Eagles Suddenly Without 1st And 2nd String At Key Position
According to our very own Matt Lombardo:
While Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts officially cleared the concussion protocol and is on track to make his first start since Week 16 on Sunday afternoon, and dynamic wide receiver A.J. Brown returned to practice, one of Hurts’ most prolific weapons seemed to suffer a setback.
Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith didn’t practice on Friday, due to back tightness, which calls his ability to play Sunday into question.
Smith has been one of the Eagles’ most vital offensive contributors this season, catching 68 passes for 833 yards and a career-high eight touchdowns, while surpassing 100 receiving yards twice in 2024.
Back in the regular season opener between the Packers and Eagles, in Brazil, Smith caught seven passes for 84 yards.
In the event that Smith and Brown are healthy enough to play Sunday, it will be one of the most daunting tests the Packers’ secondary has ever faced.
However, if either one is limited in some capacity, it could impact their passing game in a major way. Fans were quick to react to Smith’s news:
Okay I’m muting you. All you been posting is negative things. Might as well call you Howard Eskin

Concerning for the Eagles with Jalen Hurts coming back from concussion that their great receivers AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith are both managing issues. AJ has had a knee issue for weeks and Devonta has back tightness now. They both are expected to play Sunday. pic.twitter.com/xg0ddzeRiC
