The New England Patriots are in the middle of a head coaching search after firing Jerod Mayo.<\/p>\n

Mayo was a former player in the organization, so people were optimistic that he could lead the team back to their former glory, but that didn\u2019t end up being the case.<\/p>\n

Instead, the Patriots were one of the worst teams in the NFL, causing them to go back to the drawing board for the 2025 campaign.<\/p>\n

They\u2019ve already announced and conducted a few interviews, including one with Mike Vrabel, another former player.<\/p>\n

Vrabel had some success when coaching the Tennesee Titans, which could be reason enough for the Patriots to take a chance on him.<\/p>\n

While this potential hire has some fans excited, Bart Scott brought them back down to Earth in a recent clip shared by ESPN Radio on X.<\/p>\n
