The New England Patriots’ 2024 season has come to a close. That means it\u2019s mock draft season!<\/p>\n

We don\u2019t know who will be coaching this team by the start of the 2025 season. But we do know that the Patriots currently hold the No. 4 overall pick of the NFL Draft (after slipping from No. 1 in the last week of the season).<\/p>\n

New England has plenty of flaws — namely wide receiver and offensive line. So a trade down could be in the works.<\/p>\n

But I\u2019m going without trades in MassLive\u2019s first mock draft of the season. Here\u2019s how I have Round 1 shaking out (as of now):<\/p>\n

2025 NFL Mock Draft: Full Round 1 Projection<\/h2>\n

1) Titans – Travis Hunter CB\/WR, Colorado<\/b><\/p>\n

The reigning Heisman Trophy winner is a unique talent. He excelled playing both ways in college. It\u2019s unclear if he\u2019ll keep that up in the NFL. At the very least, he presents a tremendous talent at receiver.<\/p>\n

2) Browns – Mason Graham, DL, Michigan<\/b><\/p>\n

The Browns are a mess with an albatross QB contract with Deshaun Watson. But with Graham, Cleveland can build up their defensive line alongside Myles Garrett.<\/p>\n

3) Giants – Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado<\/b><\/p>\n

This match seems destined. The Giants need a new quarterback and the son of Deion Sanders would make a heck of a splash.<\/p>\n

4) Patriots – Will Campbell, OL, LSU<\/b><\/p>\n

New England needs to fix its offensive line. Their first priority should be getting a tackle. Their second priority should be getting another tackle. After that, it would be wise to grab a guard and some depth.<\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t a great draft for offensive linemen. Right now, I think Campbell is the top guy. He\u2019s been a stud at left tackle since he was a freshman and has remained an elite talent.<\/p>\n

There are concerns about Campbell\u2019s size (with some thinking he could bump inside to guard). Regardless, Campbell is as polished a product as you can get.<\/p>\n

Texas’ Kelvin Banks is also an option here as an athletic pass blocker at left tackle. Expect a bunch of names to be floated as this pick.<\/p>\n

5) Jaguars – Will Johnson, CB, Michigan<\/b><\/p>\n

Jacksonville needs cornerback help. Johnson is the top player at this position. Easy projection.<\/p>\n

6) Raiders – Cam Ward, QB, Miami <\/b><\/p>\n

It\u2019s possible Ward goes higher than this. But if he falls this far, I think the Raiders would be plenty happy to scoop him up.<\/p>\n

7) Jets – Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona<\/b><\/p>\n

With the top quarterbacks off the board, the Jets would be in a top spot. I think they\u2019d grab McMillan, giving them a big-bodied receiver to pair with Garrett Wilson.<\/p>\n

8) Panthers – Abdul Carter, EDGE, Penn State<\/b><\/p>\n

Carter has emerged as the top-rated pass rusher in this class. He\u2019d fill a clear need.<\/p>\n

9) Saints – Jalen Milroe, QB, Alabama<\/b><\/p>\n

Is this a reach? Maybe. But it seems like teams get quarterback-crazy every year. Just look at the Falcons grabbing Michael Penix.<\/p>\n

The Saints need a long-term solution. Sitting him behind Derek Carr would give him a chance to develop as a dynamic dual-threat passer.<\/p>\n

10) Bears – Kelvin Banks, OT, Texas<\/b><\/p>\n

Just like the Patriots, the Bears need to bring in some O-line help to protect their young quarterback.<\/p>\n

11) 49ers – Jalon Walker, LB, Georgia<\/b><\/p>\n

San Francisco needs to rebuild its defense, adding a versatile talent like Walker would be a big help.<\/p>\n

12) Cowboys – Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State<\/b><\/p>\n

Ezekiel Elliott 2.0. This feels like a slam dunk from Jerry Jones.<\/p>\n

13) Dolphins – Malaki Starks, S, Georgia<\/b><\/p>\n

Miami underachieved this year and is set to lose key safeties in free agency. Starks is an underrated talent who could really help them.<\/p>\n

14) Colts – Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State<\/b><\/p>\n

Anthon Richardson needs weapons. A dynamic tight end would be a big boost.<\/p>\n

15) Falcons – Mykel Williams, EDGE, Georgia<\/b><\/p>\n

The Matthew Judon experience didn\u2019t seem to work out too well in Atlanta. Once again, they\u2019re in need of pass rush help.<\/p>\n

16) Cardinals – James Pearce Jr., EDGE, Tennessee<\/b><\/p>\n

Arizona is in a similar spot in terms of need. Fortunately, this feels like a strong class for edge rushers.<\/p>\n

17) Bengals – Luther Burden III, WR, Missouri<\/b><\/p>\n

With Tee Higgins heading to free agency, the Bengals seem like they need to get a young receiver to pair with Ja\u2019Marr Chase.<\/p>\n

18) Seahawks – Kenneth Grant, DL, Michigan<\/b><\/p>\n

Offensive line is a strong possibility here. But I feel like Grant presents great value for Mike MacDonald here.<\/p>\n

19) Texans – Deone Walker, DL, Kentucky<\/b><\/p>\n

Walker is a 344-pounder who can provide a stout foundation for Houston\u2019s run defense. He\u2019d be a good get for DeMeco Ryans.<\/p>\n

20) Broncos – Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan<\/b><\/p>\n

Bo Nix has looked good so far. Now get him some help in the middle of the field.<\/p>\n

21) Steelers – Josh Simmons, OT, Ohio State<\/b><\/p>\n

It feels like I project an offensive tackle to go to the Steelers every year.<\/p>\n

22) Buccaneers – Nic Scourton, EDGE, Texas A&M<\/b><\/p>\n

Tampa\u2019s pass rush fell off a cliff this year. They need to stock up on edge rushers.<\/p>\n

23) Rams – Aireontae Ersery, OT, Minnesota<\/b><\/p>\n

This offensive line class isn\u2019t considered elite. But if players start coming off the board, teams could start to scramble.<\/p>\n

24) Chargers – Tyler Booker, OL, Alabama<\/b><\/p>\n

Given what we know about Jim Harbaugh, I wouldn\u2019t be surprised to see him build up the interior of his offensive line.<\/p>\n

25) Packers – Shavon Revel Jr., CB, East Carolina<\/b><\/p>\n

Revel is a long, athletic cornerback who could create a great tandem with Jaire Alexander (when he returns from injury).<\/p>\n

26) Commanders – Benjamin Morrison, CB, Notre Dame<\/b><\/p>\n

Morrison is coming off a major knee injury. But Washington seems like it\u2019s in a spot where they can take the time to get him ready.<\/p>\n

27) Ravens – Derrick Harmon, DL, Oregon<\/b><\/p>\n

Another year, another underrated defender who seems destined to thrive in Baltimore.<\/p>\n

28) Bills – Cameron Williams, OT, Texas<\/b><\/p>\n

O-line seems like it\u2019s high on Buffalo\u2019s priority list. We could see a wide range of names projected to go at the end of Roung 1.<\/p>\n

29) Eagles – Mike Green, EDGE, Marshall<\/b><\/p>\n

Green is a name we\u2019ll likely start to hear a lot about once we get to the combine. He looks like a guy who will rise up boards.<\/p>\n

30) Vikings – Shemar Stewart, DL, Texas A&M<\/b><\/p>\n

Stewart is an explosive player who has three-down potential. He could flourish in Minnesota.<\/p>\n

31) Chiefs – Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State<\/b><\/p>\n

Egbuka is a polished receiver who would be a big boost to Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs offense.<\/p>\n

32) Lions – Jack Sawyer, LB, Ohio State<\/b><\/p>\n

Dan Cambell\u2019s teams seem to flourish with gritty defensive leaders. Sawyer would fit in nicely alongside linebacker Jack Campbell.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
