Draft night is stressful enough for college football players with NFL dreams – but having a team call you and then hang up brings up an entirely different level of questions.<\/p>\n

One Kansas City Chiefs rookie says that on draft night this year, a rival AFC team called him – only to hang up just seconds later.<\/p>\n

Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy revealed on ‘The Rich Eisen Show’ that he received a phone call from the Indianapolis Colts – only for the call to disconnect shortly after.<\/p>\n

‘The Colts hung up on my face. It was a little crazy,’ Worthy told the show.<\/p>\n

‘The Colts called my phone on draft day and hung up the phone. They said, “Hello, this is so and so with the Colts.” And then they stopped talking and hung up.’<\/p>\n

When asked if there was a possibility that the call may have been disconnected, Worthy said, ‘I’m positive’ that he was hung up on.<\/p>\n

Not only did the Colts not select Worthy in the draft – taking Laiatu Latu from UCLA with the 15th overall pick – they then took Worthy’s University of Texas teammate, Adonai Mitchell, with the 52nd pick in the second round.<\/p>\n

Of course, by the time Mitchell was drafted, Worthy was off the board – being selected by the Chiefs 28th overall.<\/p>\n

Not that Worthy is particularly upset about his landing spot – after all, he is the third leading receiver on the defending Super Bowl champions who have started 7-0 this year.<\/p>\n

Worthy has racked up the most touchdown catches of any of his teammates with three – hauling in 19 catches for 235 yards.<\/p>\n

‘Exactly where I want to be,’ Worthy told the show.<\/p>\n

Kansas City is trying to become the first reigning Super Bowl champion to start 10-0 since the 1990 San Francisco 49ers – and they’re just three wins away from accomplishing that.<\/p>\n
