KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – The Kansas City Chiefs have faced challenges this season based on a number of injuries to key players.<\/p>\n

That could change just in time for the Chiefs to make a push in the playoffs.<\/p>\n

Head coach Andy Reid said Monday that it is possible several injured players may be healthy enough to be ready to play in at least part of the Chiefs postseason games.<\/p>\n

That includes offensive lineman D.J Humphries who suffered a hamstring injury against the Chargers.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s doing good. I can\u2019t make you any promises. I want to get him out to practice and kind of see where we\u2019re at. He is doing good in his rehab part, that\u2019s different than being on the field. I\u2019d like to just see how he does there,\u201d Reid said.<\/p>\n

\"Chiefs<\/p>\n

Humphries isn\u2019t the only Chief that is making progress, but Reid isn\u2019t making Chief\u2019s Kingdom any promises.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s a chance with Mecole [Hardman] and potentially [Jaylen] Watson\u2014and I mean potentially\u2014that would be stretching it though,\u201d Reid said.<\/p>\n

Running back Isiah Pacheco is expected to be available for the Chiefs first playoff game, but Reid said he probably won\u2019t play Sunday in Denver.<\/p>\n

\u201c[Pacheco] will be available playoff wise. He is tender. I\u2019ll probably hold him back this week in practice, just a bit, so he can be fresh and ready to go.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Chiefs kickoff against the Broncos in Denver at 3:25 p.m. Sunday. The game will air on KCTV5.<\/p>\n

Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid said he will continue to evaluate the left tackle position ahead of his team\u2019s opening playoff game in three weeks.<\/p>\n

Specifically, Reid hopes to see D.J. Humphries play during Sunday\u2019s Week 18 road game at Denver.<\/p>\n

Humphries, who signed with the Chiefs late in the season, started at left tackle in a\u00a0Week 14 home win\u00a0against the Los Angeles Chargers before leaving the game with a hamstring injury. He has not returned to practice since.<\/p>\n
