The Kansas City Chiefs’ quest for a third successive Super Bowl title has gotten a big boost with the 29-10 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, which clinched the No.1 seed and home-field advantage throughout the playoffs for Andy Reid’s team.<\/p>\n
Moving to 15-1, which is the most regular season wins for Patrick Mahomes ever, the Chiefs juggernaut continues to roll, and Reid’s team looked in fine form demolishing the Steelers in their building.<\/p>\n
While the win was good, so was clinching the No. 1 seed, but Mahomes has sent a rather ominous warning to the rest of the NFL regarding his Chiefs.<\/p>\n
“That’s what you want to do,” Mahomes said on hitting form at the right time. “We feel like we can continue to get better, but we’re playing, especially offensively, our best football at the end of the year, getting guys healthy, we’re excited for it. We’re going to keep working, this isn’t the end, this is the beginning. We’ll continue to work to get even better as we go into the playoffs.”<\/p>\n
With just one regular season game left to navigate for the Chiefs, attention, if they want it to, can be turned to getting players healthy for what they hope is a deep playoff run.<\/p>\n
Given that the Chiefs will now only play one game in the next few weeks, Reid’s team will get ample time to rest up and be fit and firing for the first playoff game at Arrowhead.<\/p>\n
Although the Chiefs haven’t played consistently great football this season, in true Kansas City fashion, they seem to hit form just at the right time, and it appears that they have done it again.<\/p>\n
