Drake Maye has done his best to avoid the noise surrounding the future job status of his New England Patriots coaches. But the noise he has heard, he does not believe.<\/p>\n
\u201cJust trying to block out that noise,\u201d Maye said after the Patriots latest lost to the Buffalo Bills. \u201cConversations about our coaching staff, I think it\u2019s some B.S. to be quite honest.\u201d<\/p>\n
Coming off an uncompetitive defeat following the bye week, speculation has only grown this past week about both Jerod Mayo and Alex Van Pelt\u2019s future with the team. But following the team\u2019s 12th loss of the season Sunday, Maye continued to share his support for both his coach and coordinator.<\/p>\n

\u201cCoach Mayo, like I said, we got his back,\u201d he said post game. \u201cHe coaches us hard \u2014 he wants to win, we all want to win. We\u2019re all frustrated. AVP, I\u2019ve been calling him great the past weeks. We\u2019re just plays away, especially me turning the ball over.\u201d<\/p>\n
With Van Pelt\u2019s play calling a topic of discussion after Robert and Jonathan Kraft appeared to be critical last week, the coordinator responded with a strong start in Buffalo as New England opened a 14-0 lead.<\/p>\n
But as Maye alluded too, turnover issues took over as the Patriots turned the ball over three times in the second hall. That included an interception from Maye and a fumble by Rhamondre Stevenson before the duo saw a backwards pass go off the running backs hands and Buffalo recover for a touchdown.<\/p>\n
As the Patriots losing streak now reaches five straight with two games to go, Maye has not seen his coaches or teammates give up their fight. It has the 22-year old quarterback hopeful of what\u2019s to come in Foxboro.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s a testament to these guys. They keep fighting,\u201d Maye shared. \u201cWe\u2019re not going to make the playoffs, we\u2019re out of the race, and these guys keep coming in. They\u2019re frustrated when we don\u2019t score, they got energy at practice, and they got energy coming into the game.<\/p>\n
