TWO-TIME Super Bowl winner Clyde Edwards-Helaire has sent an emotional message to the Kansas City Chiefs after his brutal roster cut.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The running back, 25, is now a free agent after being let go by the defending champs on Monday.<\/p>\n

Edwards-Helaire joined the Chiefs in 2020 as a first-round pick from Louisiana State University.<\/p>\n

And he ended up making 56 appearances for the side.<\/p>\n

Edwards-Helaire thought the highlight of his career had come in 2022 when the Chiefs won the Super Bowl.<\/p>\n

They beat the Philadelphia Eagles 38-35 in a thrilling encounter.<\/p>\n

But things got even better in 2023 when Edwards-Helaire helped the Chiefs to a second straight Super Bowl win.<\/p>\n

A 25-22 victory over the San Francisco 49ers secured the historic victory.<\/p>\n

However, Edwards-Helaire is now on the hunt for a new side after he was given the boot this week.<\/p>\n

And he paid an emotional tribute to his former side in a touching post on social media.<\/p>\n

Edwards-Helaire said: \u201cLove ya KC! A family I didn\u2019t know I needed, ya\u2019ll made a kid from Baton Rouge\u2019s dreams come true!<\/p>\n

\u201cTo Chiefs Kingdom, it\u2019s all love and the support I had in troubling times will be forever unmatched from you guys. With love, Clydro.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fans were certainly upset to see one of their heroes leave.<\/p>\n

Another declared: \u201cChiefs kingdom will always be a place for you and the journey you went on will never be forgotten.\u201d<\/p>\n

One noted: \u201cForever a chief, thanks for everything you did.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another added: \u201cI will always hope for the best for you Clyde.\u201d<\/p>\n
