(Photo by Katelyn Mulcahy\/Getty Images)<\/em><\/p>\n Rob Gronkowski\u2019s path to NFL stardom with the New England Patriots wasn\u2019t exactly a textbook story.<\/p>\n The larger-than-life tight end, who would go on to become a three-time Super Bowl champion and rack up an impressive 521 catches, 7,861 yards and 79 touchdowns over nine seasons with New England, had a draft interview that was anything but conventional.<\/p>\n During his pre-draft meeting with Bill Belichick and the Patriots\u2019 leadership, \u201cGronk\u201d did something most aspiring NFL players would never dare: He fell asleep.<\/p>\n Completely exhausted from a grueling interview circuit that involved 15 team visits, the young player was running on fumes.<\/p>\n \u201cI was like, I\u2019m going all out with \u2019em. I don\u2019t give a s\u2014 no more. I\u2019m going to walk in like I\u2019m at the University of Arizona walking into a party. Because I\u2019m sick of putting on a show. I first fall asleep on the table right in front of one of the highest members of the team, you know, but I need a nap.
