The remark, made during a critical moment in the second quarter, struck a nerve with many Lions supporters, leaving them frustrated during an already tough game.<\/p>\n

The situation unfolded as Lions quarterback Jared Goff faced pressure from the Bills\u2019 defense and attempted to dump the ball off to running back Jahmyr Gibbs for a screen pass. That’s when Romo made his remark: \u201cIt\u2019s going to be a screen pass that should have been an easy pitch-and-catch. I mean, I think I could have gotten a 10-year-old team to just throw that pitch-catch.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Romo\u2019s observation wasn\u2019t entirely inaccurate\u2014screen passes are typically simple plays\u2014the comment came off as dismissive.
