After their hard-fought 34-31 victory over the Green Bay Packers on Thursday night, the Detroit Lions’ secondary took the opportunity to address the constant disrespect they received leading up to the game. Despite being undermanned and facing doubts from both the media and Packers players, the Lions proved their grit and resilience.<\/p>\n

Defending Against the Criticism<\/h3>\n

Rookie cornerback Terrion Arnold<\/strong> noted that the game was especially \u201cchippy\u201d due to the taunts and verbal jabs coming from the Packers. \u201cTheir players were saying a lot of stuff about us,\u201d Arnold said. \u201cAnd one thing about it, we don\u2019t tolerate disrespect. All disrespect must be addressed.\u201d<\/p>\n

Arnold also had strong words about the pregame predictions, particularly about Jordan Love<\/strong> and his expected success. \u201cThat was disrespectful,\u201d Davis remarked. \u201cLike, what the \u2014 you know what I mean? Whatever. I think he had 200 passing yards, and we gave up some BS.\u201d<\/p>\n

Overcoming Key Injuries<\/h3>\n

I know the real them. Great team, man, but I feel like it\u2019s a lot of pretenders.\u201d<\/p>\n

Carlton Davis III<\/strong> doubled down on the defense\u2019s mindset, saying, \u201cWe don\u2019t give a fu*k about what they\u2019re saying on the outside. The talk shows and the analysts, that\u2019s their job to stir this up, but it\u2019s our job to stay focused and do what we do.\u201d<\/p>\n

Playing with Purpose<\/h3>\n

Arnold echoed Davis’ sentiments, adding, \u201cWe ain\u2019t gotta get in front of the media and cap, man. We just go out there and play \u2014 and CD was playing with a cast on!\u201d<\/p>\n
