<\/p>\nMike McCarthy’s future with the Dallas Cowboys remains uncertain. While plenty of fans\u00a0want him gone\u00a0amid another disappointing season, it doesn’t look like Dak Prescott and the rest of the team feel the same way.<\/p>\n

In fact,\u00a0Prescott recently endorsed\u00a0McCarthy to stay as their head coach, noting that he believes in him “wholeheartedly” and that he “deserves a chance.” McCarthy is in the midst of the final year of his contract with Dallas and has yet to receive an extension.<\/p>\n
Interestingly, when asked about McCarthy’s future, Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones shared that the “whole team endorses” the head coach.<\/p>\n
While they haven’t made a decision on whether to keep him or not, Jones shared McCarthy’s credentials and what he has done in his career, per\u00a0Jon Machota of The Athletic.<\/p>\n
“He’s got skins on the wall. He’s won a Super Bowl. He’s been in multiple championship games. He knows what it takes to win in this league,” Jones said of McCarthy, who won the Super Bowl XLV as a head coach of the Green Bay Packers.<\/p>\n
Jones also emphasized that McCarthy’s future with the Cowboys won’t be dictated by just the wins and losses. Although the team exec shared that he understands the fans’ frustrations, he pointed out that they know very well “what it takes to win in this league.”<\/p>\n
