Smith Disses the Dallas Cowboys<\/h2>\n<p>Smith, who is known to be critical of the Cowboys, appeared on the ESPN show \u201cFirst Take\u201d on November 29. During his appearance, Smith was asked about Parsons\u2019 comments about making the playoffs, and he replied that the Cowboys had \u201czero chance\u201d of making it that far in the season.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou\u2019ve got seven losses on the season,\u201d Smith said. \u201cYou\u2019ve got about six teams ahead of you for the Wild Card spot, because you ain\u2019t going to win the division. Obviously, you look at their schedule. Four of their last five games, you\u2019ve got Cincinnati, you\u2019ve got Philadelphia, you\u2019ve got Washington and Tampa in four of your next five games, and Carolina. Just stop. I mean, I love Micah Parsons, but just stop it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Parsons\u2019 original comments happened following the win over the Giants, in which he said in a postgame interview on Fox Sports, \u201cTo be honest, it\u2019s really been why not us? Everybody counted us out.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was just like, enough is enough,\u201d he added. \u201cWe know who we got, we know what we can do here. And I believe in every one of these guys. I believe we are going to turn it around and make a run.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Parsons also said that there\u2019s \u201cbeen a lot of trash-talk out there. Talking about, what difference can we make? Man, we still got some guys coming back\u2026 I\u2019m telling you right now, we coming.\u201d Now, one could say Smith is a small part of that trash talk.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>Root for AFC Teams to Help Dallas<\/h2>\n<p>So, could the Cowboys make it to the playoffs? It\u2019s possible.<\/p>\n<p>In a December 1 feature for Blogging the Boys, NFL analyst and expert Jess Haynie notes that there are a few scenarios that could push the Cowboys to that Wild Card playoff game.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTechnically, Dallas can still win the NFC East if they win out and the Eagles lose out,\u201d Haynie stated. However, that\u2019s \u201cridiculous, but there\u2019s certainly no harm in the AFC teams winning these games and helping our cause.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jaynie adds that having AFC teams winning \u201ccertainly doesn\u2019t hurt Dallas,\u201d which is why the Chargers\u2018 win over the Falcon on Sunday was good for the Cowboys. With that in mind.
