LOS ANGELES, California \u2013 In a poignant moment at Dodger Stadium, Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Miguel Rojas broke down in tears as he spoke of his father, who passed away exactly one month ago. The 36-year-old Venezuelan player broke down in tears during a post-game interview, leaving the Dodgers locker room and fans heartbroken.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can\u2019t stop thinking about him\u2026\u201d Rojas said, his voice trembling. \u201cEvery day I go out there, I think of my dad. He sacrificed his whole life so I could be where I am today. \u201cHe never missed a single one of my games on television. Even when he was in pain, he would video call me before each game to wish me good luck,\u201d Rojas recounted, his voice trembling. \u201cNow that he\u2019s gone, I feel empty. But I know he\u2019s up there, watching over and cheering me on.\u201d<\/p>\n

After his father\u2019s death, Rojas remained resilient on the court. He played with a high sense of responsibility, but when he was alone, the pain would return. Teammates in the Dodgers locker room said Rojas often sat quietly in a corner, looking at a photo of him and his father and wiping away tears before going out onto the court.<\/p>\n
