The Cleveland Browns have some big decisions to make this offseason and the most obvious question comes at the quarterback position.<\/p>\n

After hiring new head coach Todd Monken, the Browns will need to decide whether or not Shedeur Sanders is the future. He had flashes of big potential throughout his rookie season, but he is far from being a sure thing.<\/p>\n

Heading into the offseason, there are quite a few different options on the table for Cleveland. The team could pursue a new signal caller in the 2026 NFL Draft, dip into free agency or the trade market, or simply stand pat with Sanders.<\/p>\n

No one knows what route the Browns are going to choose to take. However, a new suggestion has been made for Cleveland that would be an interesting and surprising option.<\/p>\n

Former NFL player and current analyst Ross Tucker made an appearance on 92.3 The Fan in Cleveland. He stated his opinion that Green Bay Packers impending free agent quarterback Malik Willis could make sense for the Browns.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe real question is do they bring in another outside veteran quarterback or is Deshaun Watson that guy?\u201d Tucker said. \u201cI kind of like the idea of Malik Willis in Todd Monken\u2019s offense.\u201d<\/p>\n

Willis has had some great moments with the Packers when asked to fill in for Jordan Love. Entering free agency, it is widely expected that he will be signed by a team to compete for a starting job.<\/p>\n

As for Sanders, this wouldn’t necessarily mean that his starting job would be stripped away from him. Instead, it would mean that he would need to beat out Willis for the starting job. That could be a great scenario for both quarterbacks.<\/p>\n

During the 2025 NFL season with Green Bay, Willis played in four games. He completed 30 of his 35 pass attempts for 422 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions, while also picking up 123 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.<\/p>\n

In his one start for the Packers against the Baltimore Ravens late in the season, he threw for 288 yards, a touchdown, and no picks, while also running for 60 yards and two more scores.<\/p>\n

Expect to hear plenty of rumors surrounding Cleveland as the offseason gets underway. Willis might just be a name worth keeping a close eye on.<\/p>\n
