In addition, he had 35 receptions for 221 yards and a touchdown.<\/p>\n<p>In the first year of his four-year, $11.1 million rookie contract, Henderson provides great value and an effective complement to 6-0, 227-pound Rhamondre Stevenson.<\/p>\n<p>Much like the Quinshon Judkins\/Henderson combo at Ohio State, Stevenson provides the thunder and the speedy, 5-10, 202-pound Henderson flashes the lightning.<\/p>\n<p>In the third quarter of Week 10 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers,\u00a0<a class=\"color-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=VcvI9uZ5tBw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" data-ga-track=\"ExternalLink:https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=VcvI9uZ5tBw\" aria-label=\"Henderson ran for a 55-yard touchdown\">Henderson ran for a 55-yard touchdown<\/a>\u00a0and reached 22.01 mph \u2014 the sixth fastest time by a ball carrier (wide receiver or running back) all season, according to Next Gen Stats.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHis game on the field speaks for itself,\u201d Patriots rookie offensive tackle Will Campbell said. \u201cHe\u2019s explosive. He\u2019s dynamic.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"subhead-embed\">Henderson\u2019s Faith<\/h2>\n<p>Though Henderson would eventually win a national championship at Ohio State, he missed his first opportunity to win a playoff game in the 2022 season.<\/p>\n<p>After playing through a fracture and torn ligament in his left foot, he\u00a0<a class=\"color-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/college-football\/story\/_\/id\/35247659\/ohio-state-rb-treveyon-henderson-surgery-miss-cfp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" data-ga-track=\"ExternalLink:https:\/\/www.espn.com\/college-football\/story\/_\/id\/35247659\/ohio-state-rb-treveyon-henderson-surgery-miss-cfp\" aria-label=\"had to undergo surgery\">had to undergo surgery<\/a>, forcing him out of the College Football Playoff semifinal against Georgia.<\/p>\n<p>It was after that season-ending injury as a sophomore that he became very religious.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Lord came to me,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Henderson mentions God frequently. No question during Tuesday\u2019s 50-minute media session resulted in a longer, more involved answer than the query about when he became more spiritual.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s not a better human being in our locker room than TreVeyon Henderson, just the way he carries himself,\u201d Campbell said. \u201cHe\u2019s awesome.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Even if Henderson doesn\u2019t accomplish the awesome achievement of winning a college title and Super Bowl back to back, he and Campbell look like two potential building blocks.<\/p>\n<p>The Patriots drafted Campbell fourth overall in the 2025 NFL Draft.
