ANDY Reid and the Kansas City Chiefs are eyeing a division rival coach.<\/p>\n

The Chiefs are reportedly showing interest in a coach who has a connection with a top 2026 NFL Draft prospect.<\/p>\n

Kansas City is ready to have plenty of coach turnover next<\/span> season, following a disastrous 6-11 season.<\/p>\n

And Reid and company are reportedly interested in a familiar coach.<\/p>\n

The Chiefs have requested an interview with Las Vegas<\/span> Raiders running back coach Deland McCullough, per ESPN.<\/p>\n

The 53-year-old is being considered for the same position in Chiefs Kingdom, the outlet added.<\/p>\n

McCullough joined the Raiders ahead of this season and got to work with No. 6 overall pick Ashton Jeanty.<\/p>\n

However, he also has experience coaching Notre Dame star running back Jeremiyah Love, who is a projected first-round pick in the upcoming draft.<\/p>\n

Love is projected be a top-10 selection, and the Chiefs hold the No. 9 overall pick.<\/p>\n

The 20-year-old is coming off a season in which he was a Heisman Trophy finalist.<\/p>\n

Love recorded 1,372 rushing yards, 280 receiving yards, and 21 total touchdowns.<\/p>\n

He could be a fit for the Chiefs, who have a need at running back.<\/p>\n

McCullough has a history<\/span> with Reid and offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy, both of whom he worked under from 2018 to 2020.<\/p>\n

Bieniemy has returned to Kansas City after leaving the franchise in 2023.<\/p>\n

He was the team\u2019s offensive coordinator for six seasons and helped guide Patrick Mahomes to win two Super Bowls<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Bienemy will hope to rejuvenate a Chiefs offense that struggled mightily in 2025, posting unimpressive marks in numerous stats, including yards per game (320.6).<\/p>\n
