\"AndyThe Kansas City Chiefs have already begun their offseason, and after firing two coaches last week\u2014along with two others departing for new opportunities\u2014head coach Andy Reid has had significant holes to fill as he works to reassemble his offensive staff.<\/p>\n

On Monday, according to NFL Network\u2019s Tom Pelissero, the Chiefs are expected to hire Eric Bieniemy as their offensive coordinator for a second stint. Bieniemy is a familiar face in Kansas City, coaching with the organization for 10 seasons. He will replace Matt Nagy, who is currently pursuing head coaching opportunities.<\/p>\n

Beyond that anticipated hire, Reid also made another notable addition to his staff, announcing the hiring of three-time Super Bowl\u2013winning wide receivers coach Chad O\u2019Shea. O\u2019Shea has developed more than 10 different 1,000-yard receivers during his NFL coaching career.<\/p>\n

O\u2019Shea served as a longtime member of Kevin Stefanski\u2019s staff and comes over from the Cleveland Browns, where he joined in 2020. However, his first NFL stint came all the way back in 2003, when he worked with the Kansas City Chiefs on Dick Vermeil\u2019s staff as a volunteer assistant special teams coach.<\/p>\n

He moved around a bit before landing on Bill Belichick\u2019s staff with the New England Patriots from 2009 to 2018, helping the team secure three Lombardi Trophies.<\/p>\n

O\u2019Shea then spent a year with the Miami Dolphins in 2019 before joining the Browns. Now, he\u2019ll reunite with another legendary coach in Reid as he works to help the Chiefs\u2019 offense return to prominence.<\/p>\n

During his stint in New England, O\u2019Shea coached several star receivers\u2014including Randy Moss, Wes Welker, Julian Edelman, and Brandin Cooks\u2014to 1,000-yard seasons.<\/p>\n

Both Edelman and Welker achieved multiple 1,000-yard seasons under his guidance. During his time in Cleveland, he coached Amari Cooper to two 1,000-yard seasons and also helped Jerry Jeudy reach the milestone as well.<\/p>\n<\/article>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
