It was another disappointing outing for Andy Reid and the\u00a0Kansas City Chiefs\u00a0despite\u00a0Travis Kelce\u2019s relatively strong showing on Christmas Day. The four-time All-Pro tight end did what he could against the\u00a0Denver Broncos, registering five catches for a team-high 36 yards. It still wasn\u2019t enough, though, as the Chiefs suffered a 20-13 loss to their AFC West rivals, marking their fifth consecutive loss.<\/p>\n
Reid spoke to reporters after the game, and one of the biggest questions he faced was about Kelce\u2019s retirement. There has been a lot of talk about Kelce possibly playing in his final year for the Chiefs, and Reid was asked to address the same after Thursday\u2019s loss.<\/p>\n

There was some extra buzz surrounding\u00a0Kelce\u2019s rumored retirement\u00a0on Christmas Day since it was Kansas City\u2019s final home game of the season. The Chiefs have one game left to play, on the road at Allegiant Stadium against the\u00a0Las Vegas Raiders\u00a0in Week 18. As such, this game could have been Kelce\u2019s final one at Arrowhead following a decorated 13-year\u00a0NFL\u00a0career.<\/p>\n
This was one of the topics Reid faced during his postgame interview. The three-time\u00a0Super Bowl-winning head coach, however, quickly shut down the subject after being asked about the possibility of this being Kelce\u2019s final game at Arrowhead Stadium.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ll talk another time about all of that,\u201d Reid said, via\u00a0ESPN\u2019s Nate Taylor.<\/p>\n
Kelce himself addressed the matter as he took the podium following Thursday\u2019s loss. Much like Reid, the 10-time Pro Bowler also deflected the question, saying that he remains focused on winning football games. Kelce did say, however, that he will focus on his retirement decision\u00a0\u201cwhen the time comes.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Chiefs, who have already been eliminated from playoff contention, dropped to 6-10 after their latest loss. They have an opportunity to end their season on a high note in Week 18 when they face the Raiders, who are currently 2-13.<\/p>\n
