THE Kansas City Chiefs were booed off the field by their own fans at Arrowhead Stadium against the Houston Texans.<\/p>\n

The Chiefs fell to 6-7 after their 20-10 loss to the Texans, and with it their playoff hopes crumbled.<\/p>\n

The loss reduced their playoff chances to a mere 11% and pushed them officially out of the race for the AFC West.<\/p>\n

It is the first time in nine seasons that Andy Reid and the Chiefs haven\u2019t won the division.<\/p>\n

The Texans defense proved too much for Patrick Mahomes and the makeshift Chiefs offensive line.<\/p>\n

Mahomes, 30, threw three interceptions against the Texans and had a passing completion percentage of 42.4%.<\/p>\n

Chiefs fans were clearly not happy with their offensive output with audible boos ringing out around Arrowhead.<\/p>\n

They were heard as early as the end of the first quarter as the Chiefs were forced off the field by the Texans defense down 3-0.<\/p>\n

It stirred quite a reaction on social media from fans of the Chiefs and plenty of other teams.<\/p>\n

One Philadelphia Eagles fan commented on X, \u201cChiefs fans are booing their own team nobody says anything.<\/p>\n

Another fan said, \u201cChiefs fans are booing Patrick Mahomes and the offense off the field\u2026 How fast times have changed in Kansas City.\u201d<\/p>\n

A Chiefs fan was quick to point out that it was aimed at the refereeing, not the offense.<\/p>\n

They posted, \u201cThe boos may be because the Texans jumped offsides and they let it stand and get a sack.\u201d<\/p>\n

Some NFL fans weren\u2019t having that either. One commented, \u201cChiefs fans got no right to boo the referees. Just shut up and watch the game.\u201d<\/p>\n

If there is one thing that is clear, it is that Chiefs fans are not used to losing like this.<\/p>\n

The Chiefs\u2019 6-7 record is their worst through 13 games since a 2-11 start to the 2012 season.<\/p>\n
