Mahomes has credited the Chiefs\u2019 home-ground advantage as being crucial in their overtime win against the Indianapolis Colts.<\/p>\n

He led an impressive comeback after half-time against the Colts to come away with a 23-20 win.<\/p>\n

Tight end Travis Kelce, 30, was denied a touchdown after the franchise were controversially called back for a penalty.<\/p>\n

Kareem Hunt, 30, scored a fourth-quarter touchdown to keep the Chiefs in contention.<\/p>\n

Then kicker Harrison Butker, 30, sealed the game for the hosts with his 27-yard field goal during overtime.<\/p>\n

This has been crucial as it keeps the franchise\u2019s playoff dreams alive.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is exactly what we needed,\u201d Mahomes said. \u201cYou could have folded in that situation, but guys responded and found a way to win.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThen there was like a feeling that you had in Arrowhead. You could see the fans were behind us.\u201d<\/p>\n

Teammate Kelce has praised Mahomes after leading the Chiefs to victory despite being behind all game.<\/p>\n

Mahomes made 29 completions for 352 yards against the Colts.<\/p>\n

He has suggested that the belief from Chiefs\u2019 fans was key to the win.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey said, \u2018We\u2019re going to be there with y\u2019all\u2019 \u2014 through the end, through this all,\u201d Mahomes continued. \u201cI thought that was really cool.\u201d<\/p>\n

His praise of the Arrowhead Stadium crowd comes as the Chiefs are considering relocating.<\/p>\n

The Chiefs are in talks to leave the Arrowhead to cross state lines for a new $2 billion stadium.<\/p>\n

This would see the franchise leave Missouri for Kansas City, Kansas, around 30 miles away.<\/p>\n

They have been located at Arrowhead Stadium since moving from the Municipal Stadium in 1972.<\/p>\n

The Chiefs were founded as the Dallas Texans in 1960 before moving to Missouri<\/span> three years later.<\/p>\n

Mahomes\u2019 Chiefs will return to their former home city as they face the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday for a Thanksgiving Day clash.<\/p>\n
