ALLEN PARK, Mich.<\/strong> \u2013 Dan Campbell congratulated Lomas Brown on making the next round as a semi-finalist for the Hall of Fame.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not saying this because I\u2019m with the Detroit Lions. Like, to me, he \u2014 I don\u2019t care what team he was on or how long he played or where he started \u2014 he deserves to be in the Hall of Fame, man,” said Campbell. \u201cHell of a dude, hell of a player, productive that long, that many years, durability, production, the whole thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Campbell recalled playing with Brown in New York and praised him as a great teammate. ”<\/p>\n

He was the guy that just wanted to help you, like, you know, whatever help,” Campbell said.<\/p>\n

He shared a story about Brown covering for him during a tough play against Washington, highlighting Brown\u2019s selflessness and dependability.<\/p>\n

On the headset issue from the nail-biting overtime victory against the New York Giants, Campbell said, \u201cI don\u2019t know what happened. We asked about it. We don\u2019t know.\u201d<\/p>\n

Campbell expressed excitement about the Thanksgiving Day game against the Green Bay Packers, calling it an opportunity.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis one\u2019s about to be honest again, which that\u2019s exciting,\u201d Campbell said. \u201cYou only got a few days. You\u2019re trying to get everything in that you can to help your guys get ready to go.\u201d<\/p>\n

Packers defense<\/h3>\n

Regarding Michael Parsons, Campbell called him \u201ca really good player\u201d and \u201ca great player.\u201d<\/p>\n

Injury update<\/h3>\n

Campbell also addressed the status of Marcus Davenport, who was able to put up a full practice ahead of Thursday\u2019s (Nov. 27) matchup.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt would be big to be able to get him back,\u201d Campbell said, noting Davenport\u2019s hard work in rehab and hope for his return.<\/p>\n

On Kalif Raymond\u2018s ankle injury, Campbell said, \u201cIt\u2019s a little stiff, a little swollen. We\u2019ll see where he\u2019s at tomorrow.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kerby Joseph is not expected to play this week, Campbell said, emphasizing the importance of proper rehab and strengthening to avoid recurring injuries.<\/p>\n

Giants victory<\/h3>\n

Reflecting on a recent tough win, Campbell said it gave the team confidence.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you\u2019re able to come back and win a game in that fashion, it speaks volumes of your team and where you\u2019re at,\u201d Campbell said.<\/p>\n

Campbell praised running back Jahmyr Gibbs’ versatility and football intelligence.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s got instincts. He\u2019s an instinctive football player. He\u2019s got unbelievable vision for a runner,\u201d Campbell said. \u201cHow can you not use the guy and get him some touches?\u201d<\/p>\n

On rookie Isaac TeSlaa, Campbell said, \u201cWe like where TeSlaa is at. He\u2019s had a ton of growth.\u201d<\/p>\n

Campbell acknowledged the learning curve but expressed confidence in Isaac\u2019s development and future production.<\/p>\n

Campbell discussed the balance in the passing game between taking deep shots and managing risk.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou got to have both. You got to be willing to do a little bit of both,\u201d Campbell said.<\/p>\n

Defensive struggles<\/h3>\n

On defensive struggles with third-and-long situations, Campbell acknowledged issues with penalties, missed tackles, and pressure.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe just got to play as one,\u201d Campbell said. \u201cWe want them in second long. We want them in third and long. So, we got to be better, and we will be better.\u201d<\/p>\n

Thanksgiving meal<\/h3>\n

When asked about the key to the perfect Thanksgiving plate, Campbell humorously replied, \u201cVariety,\u201d and then said, \u201cIf you\u2019re giving me one, give me ham. Ham is the key to the perfect plate.\u201d He added a nod to fried turkey as a favorite.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/article>\n
