Cincinnati Bengals\u00a0quarterback\u00a0Joe Burrow\u00a0is questionable to play\u00a0against the New England Patriots\u00a0on Nov. 23, according to coach Zac Taylor.<\/p>\n
“I think Joe has done everything he can to put himself in a position to get back,” Taylor said on Nov. 21. “We are just going to keep taking our time on this one. No decision has been made. He was limited today in practice. I feel comfortable waiting as long as we can to make this decision.\u00a0“<\/p>\n
Veteran quarterback\u00a0Joe Flacco\u00a0would likely start if Burrow doesn’t play Sunday.<\/p>\n
The Bengals must activate Burrow from the injured reserve list before he can play in a game, and if he is going to play against New England the team has until Nov. 22 at 4 p.m. to bring him up to the active roster.<\/p>\n
Burrow fully participated in two of the team\u2019s three practices this week. On Nov. 21, Burrow was limited in practice after two days as a full participant.<\/p>\n
“He\u2019s done everything he can to put himself and be ready to go,” Taylor said. “Now I have to make a decision on what we do.”<\/p>\n
Burrow publicly shared how meaningful the chance to play on Thanksgiving would be in his first press conference since the injury on Nov. 17.<\/p>\n
Taylor has been hesitant to put any specific timeline on Burrow\u2019s return as they continue to gather information on a daily basis. Burrow suffered his Grade 3 turf toe injury on Sept. 14 and underwent surgery on Sept.19.<\/p>\n
“Everything is moving in a great position,” Taylor said. “Now we just have to make a decision. You play a game Sunday, you play a game Thursday, you got to factor in all that stuff. He has tried to put himself in a position to be ready to go, and we\u2019ll try to make a decision later.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
