The New England Patriots have one of the best offenses in the NFL, and a significant reason is wide receiver Stefon Diggs.<\/p>\n

Diggs has been impressive this season, tallying 59 receptions for 659 yards and three touchdowns over the course of 11 games.<\/p>\n

There was a chance Diggs wouldn\u2019t have joined the Patriots this season, as he was a free agent and likely had better options at the time. New England was coming off a disappointing four-win season, and with head coach Mike Vrabel stepping in for his first year and quarterback Drake Maye entering his second season, no one was certain about the team\u2019s future.<\/p>\n

However, Diggs told reporters on Wednesday\u00a0that he joined\u00a0New England because of Drake Maye, Mike Vrabel, offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels and receivers coach Todd Downing.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a group effort I guess. I wouldn\u2019t say it was just one person,\u201d Diggs said, via Patriots on CLNS.<\/p>\n

If Diggs hadn\u2019t signed with the Patriots and had chosen another team, there\u2019s a good chance New England wouldn\u2019t be one of the best teams in the NFL this season.<\/p>\n

Diggs will try to continue his strong performance this week as the Patriots head to Cincinnati to face a Bengals team that\u2019s allowing 418.2 total yards per game.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
