Sean Rhyan won\u2019t be a free agent for another five months.<\/p>\n

But the fourth-year offensive lineman knows his days in Green Bay are likely numbered.<\/p>\n

Ryhan, a starter at right guard in 2024 and for the first four games of 2025, recently lost his job to former first round draft pick Jordan Morgan. Now, as Rhyan reads the tea leaves, he knows he\u2019ll probably be in a different uniform in 2026.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you just look at what we got on the line, I probably won’t be back here,\u201d Rhyan said. \u201cBut I don\u2019t know. I don’t know. But right now it doesn’t look good.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rhyan started all 17 games at right guard in 2024 and had a respectable season. Rhyan allowed four sacks, had six penalties, and allowed 24 pressures.<\/p>\n

Rhyan\u2019s pass blocking grade from Pro Football Focus was 69.4, which ranked 38th<\/sup> out of 136 guards. His run blocking grade was 58.4, which ranked 87th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n

Rhyan, a 2022 third round draft pick, split time at right guard with Jon Runyan in 2023 and rotated with Morgan the first two months of 2024. Midway through last season, though, Morgan was placed on the injured reserve list with a shoulder injury and Rhyan played all but eight snaps in the final 10 games.<\/p>\n

Rhyan started the first four games this year and averaged 62.3 snaps per game. But he played just 11 snaps while backing up Morgan in Week 6, then didn’t play a single offensive snap in Week 7.<\/p>\n

Rhyan was asked what he thought of his early-season play?<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t think it was bad,\u201d Rhyan said. \u201cObviously, there\u2019s always plays you want to get back. But for that (the benching) to happen I don’t think it was, I don\u2019t think it was the right call. Or not even the right call, but maybe justified.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was kind of sudden and stuff like that. But hey, sometimes you\u2019re left without an explanation and you just kind of got to weather the storm a little bit until some things become clear to you. But that\u2019s where I\u2019m at right now.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rhyan said he\u2019ll continue to do what he\u2019s asked and see if his number is called again in 2025.<\/p>\n

\u201cObviously, I want to play. I want to be out there,\u201d he said. \u201cBut now, I have to do other things to help the team win. So, if that means doing whatever they want me to do, I have to do that. Obviously, not the happiest, but still want to help the team win.\u201d<\/p>\n

With Rhyan set to become an unrestricted free agent in March, he knows the timing of his demotion is far from ideal.<\/p>\n

\u201cObviously it\u2019s a big year for me,\u201d Ryhan said. \u201cIt\u2019s a contract year, so I want to put myself in the best position in order to help myself.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a team game, but sometimes you\u2019ve got to watch out for yourself, too. So is the future here? I don’t know yet. We\u2019re going one week at a time.
